The Physics Department of SAU invites you to see how we involve undergraduate students in our research with the result that it is "considered by many to be the outstanding small college program in America" (from the text accompanying the George P. Pegram Award given by the Southeastern Section of the American Physical Society in 1997).

Learn about our program
We offer a small student-faculty ratio and a strong curriculum, including three(!) semesters of quantum mechanics. You'll observe that there are active research programs involving students and faculty. You'll see that our graduates have fulfilling employment and that an astounding number of them have earned advanced degrees.
