The Physics Department of SAU invites you to see how we involve undergraduate students in our research with the result that it is "considered by many to be the outstanding small college program in America"*
Wright Hall Check out the Southern Adventist University site
We are a small, liberal arts, fully accredited, rural, Christian campus close to the rivers, lakes, and mountains of East Tennessee, Georgia, and North Carolina.
Take a WebTour The amenities of Hickman Science Center provide an ideal setting for education. The tour is still under construction; it was last worked on 7/26/2000.  WebTour 2.0!
Our Program Learn about our program
We offer a small student-faculty ratio and a strong curriculum, including three(!) semesters of quantum mechanics. You'll observe that there are active research programs involving students and faculty. You'll see that our graduates have fulfilling employment and that an astounding number of them have earned advanced degrees.
* Citation for the Pegram Award of the Southeastern Section of the American Physical Society, presented at the Nashville meeting in November of 1997.
